Help seriously ill children like Arlo, to get better, faster.
Arlo went from fear to resilience - because of play
Arlo became seriously ill and spent six long weeks in hospital, growing dangerously underweight as he went through constant tests, treatments and monitoring. At one point, 15 different professionals were involved in his care. It was overwhelming - days of procedures and nights interrupted every four hours for checks.
Everything changed when he met Debbie, a Health Play Specialist. Through play, she helped Arlo cope - reducing his fear, giving him a sense of control, and making each day more bearable.
Today, Arlo still needs ongoing medical care, but he approaches hospital with resilience, not dread. That shift didn’t happen by chance. It happened because of play - and because of people like you, helping to make it part of children’s treatment when they need it most.
